Workplace Wellness Yoga

Angela’s workplace wellness practices are not basic, traditional yoga classes. They are movement/breath/energy based classes specifically designed to address the common corporate workplace stressors and illnesses through preventative and corrective exercises.

Addressing Stress

With stress, cortisol levels increase while immune activity decreases, and all non-vital functions such as reproduction, tissue repair, digestion shut down. On-going stress, even at ‘low’ levels can lead to adrenal exhaustion, muscle tension and pain, high blood pressure, depression, and immune suppression, to name only a few.

The National Institute of Mental Health estimates that U.S. employers lose $70 billion a year due to absenteeism, lost productivity and disability caused by mental distress, which in turn leads to physical stress and illness.

Lowered stress levels helps with weight loss, improved immune system functioning, improved mood, improved resilience, and more.

Daily Break Sessions / Mid-Day Re-Energizer

Three 25 minute practices held from 11-12:30pm or 11:30-1pm. Employees can attend one of the sessions and still have time to enjoy lunch. These efficient sessions incorporate movement and breathing to re-energize and re-focus. Best done before eating. No post shower required!

(Recommend as 1-2x a week, with a specific focus each week: ie. hips, wrists and joints, back and neck)

Focus Sessions

Fifty minute practices that each have a specific focus. Choose from the following options or even better, provide them to your team in a four week series.

Workplace Wellness Workshops

These workshops present the benefits of a series of simple, yet highly effective practices that employees can incorporate on a daily basis to improve their physical, mental, and emotional health and wellness. Practices include movement routines and breathing exercises, as well as seasonal tips and practices.

Recommended as a quarterly session at the beginning of each season.
